The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery is Charlotte’s first and oldest craft brewery. Early in the brand’s development, ownership recognized the impending craft beer boom and understood the need for a highly differentiated brand amongst the wave of competitors. While working at Concentric, we led the charge in developing OMB’s brand definition and marketing roadmap to achieve greater trial and loyalty.
OMB values purity and freshness – this is apparent in their strict following of German purity laws – using only water, hops, malt, and yeast with no additional flavorings or preservatives. This was reflected in their brand definition and creative elements. The consistently clean look stood out in a category where everyone was trying to one-up each other on how wild and crazy they can look and sound.
